Busy busy!

I've been having so much fun these last two weeks! I've been up to the temple 3 times, ice skating twice, and am planning a Chocolate Extravaganza with Rachel and John C!

The big problem is I can't find the cable to put my pictures from the camera on the computer, so you will just have to suffer through cell phone pictures! HAHAHA!

Rachel and I at the Ice Center downtown(ish). Upstairs they have a sports bar with a fire place, you can see it between our faces. We were warming our fannies by the fire!

This Santa was at the Denny's we ate at later. It was funny at the time....

I also bought new shoes yesterday! YAY! The first girly looking shoes I've bought for a long time. Hooray for DSW and their points for gift certificates program!

So thats what I've been up to. Good times!!!

DateS

Yes that's right!

I went on DateS this weekend with 2 boys from the singles ward I'll be attending soon! I saw the new Bond movie at both dateS. HAHAHAHA! Good times!

Its so nice to be back in the singles groove after being in limbo for so long (I never really wanted to be single again, but now that I find myself here it feels good that it can be fun). Its also nice to know that there are boys that see me and think: I would like to see a movie with her. Its doing wonders for my self esteem but don't worry, I'll try not to let it get to my head.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have an FHE activity to attend!

Dear Diary

Dear Diary,

Yesterday was a hard day. You'd think that after a year and a half of heartache I'd be done feeling heartachey and crybabyish, right? Apparently not.

So yesterday I was helping a friend move from his storage unit to his new HOUSE. He is very excited and was showing me all the stuff he had. He's divorced too and to see all of his life in one little room in boxes was kind of sad, but he was so happy and said it was like Christmas, unwrapping all his old toys and what not. I have all my stuff in storage at the same unit upstairs so I thought I'd take a peak since I hadn't been there since I moved it all there in August. Big mistake.

I went up there expecting to be all excited too, finding nuggets of familiar things. Instead all I saw were boxes of unopened gifts, reminders of hurt feelings and dreams never to come true. Its all I have to show for an 11 month marriage and 8 months of separation. I leaned against the door frame and cried, and cried. My friend came up to see if I was ok, saw me at my pathetic state, and gave me hug and a shoulder to cry on for another 20 minutes. No questions asked, no telling me to feel better, just a hug and a shoulder. I grabbed a candle and a little shelf to take home so I didn't feel like I went up there for nothing.

I went home, cried for another 20 minutes on mom's sholder, ate too much buttery dinner and threw up until 11pm. All in all a productive day.

Good news: The divorce is final this Sunday, Nov. 9th, so I'm having a Sushi night at Sato Sushi off of Monteray Road in San Jose for any one who would like to come. I am planning on getting "drunk" off of Miso soup! I actually am excited, don't let the story above confuse you.

Until my next next mental break down, kisses!

Dinamic Duo

I found the COOLEST pictures ever!!

I'll tell a story, then you can see the pictures! I know, can you feel the excitement!!!

Levi is our little family friend. When he was born my mom was asked to babysit him which turned into a full time job of 12 hour days for 5-6 days a week. He was THE cutest baby ever! When he was 2 going on 3 he lived with our family for almost a year. During that time he became a like a genuine member of the family! He's 7 1/2 today and he comes to church with us every Sunday and hangs out when he can. I still love him like a brother and him and his dad are considered extended family.

SOOO sometime when he was around 5ish, I got a batman mask and he got superman pj's. One day he wore the pj's to my house and he found my batman shirt and mask and the rest is what legends are made of. BEHOLD:

almost professional

I was so proud of myself for a little while. The weather had cooled down and I was able to properly dress myself in layers for work and look half way decent. Gosh, I almost look like a should have this job!

Then it got hot again, and I'm back to being a slob. Tisk tisk

More Machines

Ok, so the last blog was about robots and machines, but I can't get over how much people want life like metal things running around.

Case and point!
Why!?!? Oh man, I am sooo creeped out!

Terminator, for reals?

I've never really believed in the theory that robots will over throw the human race and make us their slaves, but this makes me a little nervous...

And this one.. well, it makes me want to wet my pants!

Maybe I should be a little more nervous, but I watch my cartoons and somehow feel all better.

Tinysaur!

I love teeny tiny things, and I love Dinosaurs.

Total ends of the spectrum, I know, BUT I have just found a person who has combined the two into a mind boggling, tear jerking, beauteous creation of wonder!

BEHOLD!
There is nothing, NOTHING more amazing then that!

Here is the flickr

and here is another amazing pic of a herd of Tinysaurs!

Crap Dog

Oh my goodness!

Because its friday (don't fire me!), and I do a little more websurfing then I should, I came across my new favorite blog!
http://crap-dogs.blogspot.com/

I sat for an hour (don't fire me!) trying not to pee my pants from laughing while checking out crap dogs! I LOVE dogs so don't get me wrong, but aren't there times where we have all looked at a dog and thought "That's not a dog! That's a... (rodent, fluff ball, ect...)".

It makes my heart happy.

want one, please?

This has just cemented my want/dying need for a hedgehog. (best viewed with no sound, unless you like grown woman using shrill baby talk)

Clockwork Smurf

Clockwork Smurf
clockwork.gif
Handy Smurf built this robotic Smurf out of wood, and somehow managed to make it capable of feeling emotions and morality. Either it’s a magical being, and therefore an abomination in the eyes of God, or it’s a highly advanced artificial intelligence, like the Terminator, and all of the Smurfs will eventually perish in a nuclear holocaust. If this seems unlikely, consider the fact that in the cartoon he was voiced by the same actor who voiced Megatron, leader of the Decepticons, in the original Transformers. Coincidence? We think not. http://www.toplessrobot.com/2008/01/the_10_most_disturbing_smurfs.php?page=2

Every Morning

Yup, that's me... every day.

Monday, July 21, 2008

Your thoughts?

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

I thought this was cute! Have fun!

busy, but not really

Man, life has been a whirlwind of activities! I thought I'd be in front of the computer eating ice cream until November (well, for a while I was) but this has been a busy summer for me!

Break down:

~ Both grandparents on my mom's side (the Almonds) passed away within a few weeks of each other. Its good that way b/c they really loved each other and I can't imagine life with out the love of your life! I think Mom handled it so well, I dread the day I have to be in her shoes. On the bright side, it was a way to get that side of the family together! I can't remember the last time that happened!

~ Keith and Katie got married! It was a beautiful temple sealing in Oakland and I am SO grateful that I got to be there in the temple with them. Thank goodness for last minute miracles. Katie was BEAUTIFUL and Keith was ADORABLE!

So much more has been going on, but I'll have to save that for later b/c all my pictures are still on my camera!

Dag!

So much has been going on, but I don't have any time to write about it! Sorry (if anyone reads this).

There was the Ben Lee concert (pics and video coming soon). There was the midnight sushi with Christina and John. All the pics from NYC and DC.... ummm.... some more stuff...

Ya, I want to put it all in here, but I don't want to fight to get a chance to go on the computer with my pictures on it.

One of these days....

Eat Out Loud

I'm so excited!

I've started a new blog (blaag) www.eatoutloud.blogspot.com to document my love of food. Everyday I go to Zanotto's family grocery store for lunch and cruise the isles until I see something that I cannot be without (usually fruit, but some days its more daring) and eat it by the dozens. Oh man, its making my mouth water right now! My plan is to blog about my food of choice that day. I can't wait!

Which food will it be? better log in tomorrow to see!!
